Over the past decade, CommandEleven has facilitated shaping strategic agendas for governments, businesses, media organizations and opinion makers across the globe through its strategic advisory and geopolitical risk analysis services.

While geopolitical and security risks are regularly cited, by both governments and businesses, as the most difficult to anticipate, manage and address to seize opportunities, CommandEleven has been at the forefront in helping decision-makers to navigate and achieve their agendas in an inter-connected world. Syed Khalid Muhammad

Executive Director & Founder

Syed Khalid Muhammad, the Founder and Executive Director of CommandEleven, brings over three decades of leadership experience, guiding organizations globally in the realms of security, technology, marketing, and management. Notably, he authored "Agency Rules: Never an Easy Day at the Office," a pioneering espionage novel published in 2013. This novel holds historical significance as the first English-language espionage novel written by a Pakistani, achieving international bestseller status and currently available on Amazon. 

Furthermore, Syed Khalid Muhammad has made notable appearances on several international TV channels, providing insightful analysis on security and geopolitics.

Since the establishment of CommandEleven in 2015, Khalid has expanded his expertise to encompass analysis, risk and threat assessment, and consultancy in the fields of terrorism, counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, geopolitics, and cognitive warfare. Within CommandEleven, he has successfully cultivated a comprehensive human and electronic intelligence network spanning the Indian subcontinent. Continuously growing, this network extends into various conflict zones globally, providing CommandEleven with actionable, real-time intelligence that forms the foundation of its analytical endeavors.

CommandEleven currently serves multiple clients, including corporate giants, by assisting them in analysis related to security, threat assessment, and threat mitigation strategies in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Lt. Gen. Tariq Khan (Retired)

Patron-in-Chief

Lt. General Tariq Khan (Retired), an erudite general from Pakistan’s Armored Corps and a decorated War Veteran, is an expert on critical issues related to Terrorism & Insurgencies. He has commanded and led major operations in FATA from the frontline, his model on counter-insurgency is still applied to this day.

Lt. Gen. Asad Durrani (Retired)

Military Operations

Lt. Gen. Mohammad Asad Durrani is a retired 3-star general in the Pakistan Army and presently a commentator, speaker and author.

General Durrani previously served as the Director General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and former Director General of the Pakistan Army's Military Intelligence (MI).

Lt. Col. Saleem Akhtar Malik (Retired)

Military Operations

Lt. Col. Saleem Akhtar is a retired Army officer, who writes on issues related to national and International affairs, important events from military history, and military technology.

Lt. Col. Saleem considers writing as an instrument to calibrate his mind.

Shahid Raza

Geopolitics

Shahid brings a bigger picture approach to the CommandEleven leadership. His own background spans across multiple disciplines including aerospace, weaponry, military operations and intelligence analysis.

Shahid is a specialist in HUMINT & OSINT.

James Dorsey

James M. Dorsey is an award-winning journalist and a senior fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University. He is Co-Director of the University of Wurzburg's Institute of Fan Culture, a visiting scholar at its Institute of Sport Science, and author of the The Turbulent World of Middle East Soccer blog.

Andrew is an American Moscow-based political analyst specialising in the relationship between the US strategy in Afro-Eurasia, China’s One Belt One Road global vision of New Silk Road connectivity, and Hybrid Warfare.

Saeed Afridi

Saeed Afridi currently works at the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Westminster. Saeed does research in Foundations of Political Theory, International Security, Energy Security and Complexity Theory in International Relations.

Imran Siddiqui

Imran Siddiqui is an experienced analyst in the field of geo-politics, defence projects and economy. He holds a degree in Finance from University of Houston. Imran has helped former President Gen. Musharraf to set-up his political party in North America. Rafay Baloch is a Pakistani ethical hacker and security researcher known for his discovery of vulnerabilities on the Android operating system. He has been featured and known by both national and international media and publications like Forbes, BBC, The Wall Street Journal, and The Express Tribune.

Khurram Malik

History & Politics

Khurram specializes in geopolitics, defense and history bringing a fantastic understanding to global conflicts. He is a open-source intelligence specialist, able to connect various parts of seeming unconnected story to develop a clear, actionable analysis.

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad, a Contributing Fellow to CommandEleven, is a seasoned corporate executive, analyst, and writer with a passion for global impact. With over four decades of corporate experience spanning national and multinational companies, he brings a wealth of expertise and insights to the table. His contributions have left a significant mark at both national and international levels, shaping strategic, economic, political, sports, and current affairs dialogues. He is currently serving as an External Advisor/Consultant with SICPA Inks Pakistan Private Limited.

Salman Lali

Salman Lali is a contributing fellow at CommandEleven. As an experienced journalist and communications expert, Salman brings over 13 years of expertise. His focus areas include public policy, defense, international politics, and the global economy. With a keen interest in key regions such as India, China, the Middle East, Turkey, and the United States, his analyses capture the complexities of dynamics surrounding these regions. Having worked with respected broadcast houses in Pakistan, he currently serves as a communications consultant to both public and private sector clients.

Abdur Rahim Gul

Abdur Rahim Gul is currently a Strategic Studies student at the National Defense University (NDU), providing his research and insights into weapons, arms control, disarmament, geopolitics, human security and other national security related topics.

Anma Saqib

Geopolitics

Ms Amna Saqib is Research Officer at the Centre for International Strategic Studies (CISS), Islamabad. She holds an M.Phil degree in International Relations from National Defense University (NDU), Islamabad. She has worked as Visiting Faculty member at SPIR, QAU Islamabad, and NDU, Islamabad and she has also been an intern at Arms Control Disarmament Affairs, Directorate of Pakistan’s Strategic Plan Division. Her area of interests include Foreign Policies of Major Powers, International Security, Global Nuclear Politics and Nuclear Strategies. She contributes articles and research papers to the National and International forums on issues of her interest.

Syed Ali Abbas is Associate Research Officer at the Center for International Strategic Studies (CISS) Islamabad, Pakistan. Previously, Syed worked as Associate editor at Indus News Network. His area of interests are Politics of Middle East, Foreign Policy, Counter Terrorism and Nuclear Politics.

Dr. Claude Rakisits

Geopolitics

Dr. Claude Rakisits is an Honorary Associate Professor in the Department of International Relations at the Australian National University. He’s also a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Brussels.

His academic interests are South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Before going into academia some 20 years ago, Dr. Rakisits had worked in the Australian public sector in the areas of defence, strategy, foreign affairs and intelligence. He has taught international relations and diplomacy in Australia, US, Canada, Switzerland and Belgium. He has been the academic adviser at the Australian War College, and he taught strategic developments in the Indo-Pacific at Georgetown University in Washington DC. He comments and publishes regularly for Australian and international think tanks and media outlets.

Wasay Qasim

Security Studies

Wasay Qasim is a student of Peace and Conflict Studies at the National Defence University, Islamabad. His area of interests are international conflicts and national security.

Faisal Aijaz

Defence & Security Studies

Faisal Aijaz brings his hard-charging and reliable analysis to spearhead the domains of counterterrorism, counter-insurgency and national security. He brings a great deal of understanding about military affairs, strategy and tactics, helping his team to better analyze the current and potential security situations in the region.

How We Do It

Since our inception as a think tank in 2015, CommandEleven has gathered intelligence to better inform our analysis and advisors on core factors, background and potential solutions. This was achieved by developing our own network of assets and resources that share intelligence for classification and analysis, leading to more accurate and actionable analysis.

Now, as a consulting agency, this network is now used to gather, classify and analyze intelligence to educate and inform all CommandEleven audiences, whether reader or client.
