A brief comparison between Modi and Hitler
India’s perception as an inclusive society was damaged when Narendra Modi was elected as PM after the genocide of Muslims in Gujarat. People were of the opinion that Modi regime will not be able to implement its extremist agenda, however, majority of Indians agreed with the extremist agenda and brought back Modi for a second term.
Modi and RSS have many similarities to Nazism. both are against minority rights and have acted against minorities. The unfortunate part is that BJP (party of Modi) has been elected by majority of Indians this means that majority of Indians are aligned with the extremist mindset of Nazism and Hindutva. Gandhi was assassinated by a Hindu extremist who was part of the RSS.
Let’s compare Modi and Hitler:
Actions and attributes | Modi | Hitler |
Believes that majority is supreme race | Yes | Yes |
Involved in genocide of minority | Yes | Yes |
Have created international chaos and war like situations for political gains | Yes | Yes |
Have given powers to violent radical non-state actors such as RSS and SS | Yes | Yes |
Have support from media and elites | Yes | Yes |
Have attempted to change demographics | Yes | Yes |
Have supported public figures with extremist ideas | Yes | Yes |
Have use state power to suppress political opponents | Yes | Yes |
Have targeted minorities for political gains | Yes | Yes |
Have changed laws to suppress minorities | Yes | Yes |
Here are India’s two most prominent heroes:
VD Savarkar, was a mentor of the RSS, an extremist Hindu organization. He also supported Nazism. He is a hero amongst Hindus in India. In his 1949 book, Hindu Rashtra Darshan, Savarkar wrote “Nazism proved undeniably the savior of Germany”
In May this year, Indian PM Modi paid tribute to Savarkar, a Nazi supporter, as follows:
Subhas Chandra Bose is also a hero for Indians. His photo is placed in almost all Indian police stations. Bose met with Hitler and Himmler (head of SS and Gestapo) in 1942 and offered support and collaboration against the Allies.
Earlier this year, Indian PM Modi tweeted on Bose’s (Nazi supporter) birth anniversary:
The above tributes are sufficient to show the emotional and political alignment of Modi with Nazism. The supporters of Nazism and Hitler are heroes in India and the man promoting their ideology of hatred and violence has become the most popular leader.
Support to attacks on minorities by Indians:
The genocide of Muslims in Gujarat, was acceptable across all sections of the society. This was not the first attack on minorities, the attack on Golden Temple, a holy site for Sikhs, was conducted under a secular govt.
McDonald’s is under attack after they confirmed the only use Halal meat. Majority of Hindus, that don’t consume meat, had no problem with McDonald’s serving meat but now they have a problem because meat is Halal. This is another sign of threatening attitude of Indians towards a minority.
Muslims are lynched in India for eating meat and are forced to chant Hindu religious slogans to satisfy the growing appetite of Hindu extremists. This was no surprise for Pakistan and the minorities in India. As a society, India has always operated as an extremist society. Whether it is the caste system or burning women alive in pyre of their dead husbands, Indians have proven themselves to supress minorities and weak.
A potential war between Pakistan and India
Before the WWII, German economy was not as vibrant as it was in 1930s. Historian Timothy Mason claimed that an economic crisis had caused a “flight into war” in 1939. Indian economy is also facing a slowdown and with Modi and BJP/ RSS aligned with Nazism, an attack on Pakistan by India is always a possibility. Imagine a false flag attack orchestrated by Indian secret service RAW, leading to a full attack on Pakistan. Another scenario is a genocide of Kashmiris as a result of a false flag attack on Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir triggering a humanitarian disaster that forces Pakistan to react.
Is the global leadership prepared for a nuclear war between Pakistan and India? The answer is No.
How a war can be avoided?
With the Nazi supporters in power in India and the provocative actions taken by the Modi/BJP lead govt, the focus of global leadership needs to be on India. Here are proposed steps to avoid a nuclear conflict in South Asia:
- India immediately reverses its decision to revoke Article 370 in Kashmir
- Talks between Pakistan and India on Kashmir take place under the UN umbrella
- Both countries give full access to aid and media organizations
- India MUST denounce Nazism and condemn any leaders that have supported Nazism
- India must share its process of safeguarding it nuclear and missile stockpile
- The UN must declare RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) An extremist and terrorist organization
- FATF must review flow of funds to extremist organizations like RSS in India
- Both countries take immediate actions to de-escalate the current situation
Let’s hope that global sanity will prevail and they fulfill their responsibility to uphold peace and human rights. The rise of Nazism is clear and present danger with firm grip on India’s nuclear weapons.
